Dancing With the Stars: The Beauty Breakdown

The Host:
Samantha Harris: I love her sophisticated makeup, with classic berry tones and smoky eyes. Her hair was soft and flowing and perfect. I also loved the indigo gown, with horizontal pleats all the way down the length. Gorgeous and elegant!
The Star:
Laila Ali: Beautiful! Love ht enew short, straight, sleek hair! So gorgeous and sophisticated. I also loved the red dress, which was elegant and flattering and just lovely on her. I also loved the beautiful deep matte lips, a refreshing change from all the gloss we see on the show, and the shimmery, black-lined eyes.
The Dancers:
Cheryl: She went for a glamorous evening look, and makeup-wise, pulled it off. Strong red lips, berry cheeks, and shimmery eyes were all beautiful, and the marabou trim on the dress was fun and went with the whole evening look she was going for. Her hair style was better, in a softer more natural shag, but I think the highlights were too streaky and obvious.
Kym: What's with her hair. She looks like an old-time square dancer! It was puffy and curled and pulled up and and just too much. Too poodle-like! Her makeup was pretty, though, with glossy hot pink lips and rosy cheeks. No comment on the dress. It was an atrocity. Again, square dancing comes to mind.
Karina: I didn't quite get the hair, which was almost too shiny and too curled, but pretty anyway, in a way. Her makeup, though, seemed overdone. The heavy tan with the lipstick with the blush with the eye makeup was all just overdone. I loved the gown though, which was a gorgeous pink 30's inspired evening gown. So pretty!
Julianne: Love the sparkly, bare-backed black jumpsuit. What a nice change from tall the gowns. It was so much fun and looked beautiful on her, as everything does. As always, her makeup was pretty and not overdone, with shimmery eyes and hot pink glossy lips. Gorgeous. She is wise not to pile on the makeup, because she's naturally beautiful and has delicate features that could be overpowered. Her hair was also lovely, swept back in a braided side chignon that was elegant and glamorous.
