Product Review: Clinique Turnaround 15 Minute Facial
The Claim: "Delivers all the radiance and smoothness of microdermabrasion—with significantly less irritation or stress. Immediately reveals brighter, smoother, more even-toned skin via an advanced cocktail of exfoliants. Use weekly, or for an anytime radiance boost." (From clinique.com)
The Price: $34.50 for 2.5 oz.
The Review: I tried Clinique Turnaround 15 Minute Facial last night, and I have to say that I'm quite pleased with the initial results. I have combination skin which right now is a little on the dry side (possibly due to pregnancy). I had some taut areas on my cheeks and some flakiness on my forehead and neck.
The Application: I love the way this feesl because its a soothing blue-green gel, and not cakey or grainy like most masks. When you apply it, it dries with a slightly whitish cast, but is almost undetectable compared to a clay mask. My baby didn't even notice I had it on. It's also easy. You just smooth it on, wait 15 minutes, and then remove it with a washcloth.
The Results: This immediately got rid of the flakiness, and seemed to smooth and brighten my whole complexion. My skin felt satiny soft, and I kept touching it all night. Not sure how it did to even out my skin tone, always a big concern for me, so I will update this review after a few more applications.
The Verdict: Well worth the 15 minutes. This isn't going to work miracles (no mask does) but it will soften and gently exfoliate. I wouldn't say that it could replace microdermabrasion, though I do think it's a great option between treatments.
